FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
What is SetDesk?
SetDesk publishes research-backed PDF guides for adults with ADHD — exploring how your brain has shaped your relationships, your identity, your experience as a parent, and your sense of self. We're not a therapy service, a productivity system, or a self-help brand. We're a publishing company that takes the research seriously and writes for people who are mid-journey and ready to understand themselves better.
What do I get when I purchase a guide?
Every SetDesk guide is a downloadable PDF delivered instantly to your inbox after purchase. Guides range from 28 to 40 pages of original, research-backed content written specifically for adults with ADHD. No worksheets, no fill-in-the-blank sections, no five-step systems — just honest, deeply researched writing built for the way your brain works.
How do I access my guide after purchasing?
You'll receive an email from us immediately after your purchase with a download link inside. Click the link, download your PDF, and it's yours to keep. If you don't see the email within a few minutes, check your spam or junk folder — it usually ends up there. Still nothing? Email us at hello@getsetdesk.com and we'll sort it out right away.
Can I read my guide on my phone or tablet?
Yes. SetDesk guides are standard PDF files and open on any device — phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop. Any PDF reader works, including the free ones already built into most phones and computers.
Do I need a special app to open my guide?
No. Any PDF reader will do. Most phones and computers already have one built in. If you need a free option, Adobe Acrobat Reader is available on every platform and works perfectly.
What is your refund policy?
Because our guides are digital downloads delivered instantly, all sales are final and we don't offer refunds. If you have a problem with your purchase — a file that won't open, a download that didn't arrive, anything at all — please email us at hello@getsetdesk.com and we'll make it right.
Do I have to have an ADHD diagnosis to benefit from SetDesk guides?
No. Many of our readers are undiagnosed, self-identifying, or somewhere in the middle of figuring it out. Our guides are written for the experience of living with a brain that works differently — not for a piece of paper that says so. If what we write sounds like your life, it's for you.
Are SetDesk guides a replacement for therapy or medical advice?
No. SetDesk guides are for educational and informational purposes only. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, or replace the advice of a qualified mental health professional or physician. If you're experiencing significant distress or have concerns about ADHD or a related condition, please seek support from a qualified professional. Understanding is a powerful first step — and professional guidance is the next one.
Who writes SetDesk guides?
SetDesk is a small, independent publishing brand. Our guides are built on peer-reviewed research published between 2021 and 2026, written in a voice that respects your intelligence and your experience. No author names appear in our guides — SetDesk is the brand, and the work speaks for itself.
